Does anyone know of instructions or tools for making a 3D cube such as the one shown HERE?

Do you just want the 3D cube or do you want all the different colours and text also?

I need to make the cube with different numbers of slices on each side, with text on each slice. Colors and textures, etc would be nice, but not essential. Rotation transitions would be excellent so that from the first overall view, the cube could rotate to emphasize a single side, and then another and then another.

You can create a basic 3D shape in a PowerPoint slide using the Shapes tool and then applying some Depth through the 3D options in the Format Shape dialog box however what you are after is more complicated than what PowerPoint can create for you.

If you want this you'd need to look at using a third-party tool or some pre-made templates. I did a quick Google search and found some Rubiks Cube PowerPoint slide options which might be suitable such as http://www.slideteam.net/rubiks-cube...on-slides.html. Not sure if these are suitable or can be adapted to suit your needs but it's something to start with.
