Default can power point LINK to embedded object in power point ?

Hi all,

I created an excel file, I have tables, charts.

I inserted it to the power point and display it as icon.

I open it up, copy the tables and wants to paste special linked as object.

when I open the embedded file, and make changes and save it, I close out of power point and opening it again, can power point link to the embedded excel file ? I think this linking is more convenient since it doesn't have to look into a directory when that could be lost or later deleted.

Thanks !!!
