Default What controls the "Fit slide to current window" percentage?

I have two PowerPoints with the same slides. When I view them in Normal view and click "Fit slide to current window" (bottom right of screen), one adjusts to 61% and the other to 68%.

The left side bars with the previews are the same width. There are no notes at the bottom. Why would these have different percentages?

Very strange then!

I take it the slide size is the same in Design > Slide Size. They may not be if one was made in an earlier version. You need to check in CUSTOM SIZE.

Hi, John. You were right. I thought different sizes were impossible but I did check and one was not 10 by 7.5 inches. Weird.

Thank you!

2013 uses a new default for 16:9 which keeps the height the same as other ratios.

This would make sense except 2010 used a different ratio that kept the WIDTH constant.
