Errors when Saving
Hi all,
I created a small animation in PPT and saved it as a "Slide Show" (to be played at a kiosk). I then sent the .ppsx file to my boss and encountered 2 problems: 1) he couldn't see the images. Instead of re-linking them, I "inserted" the pics in hopes of embedding them. One pic was still not displaying... 2) I decided to bundle all necessary files via "Package to CD", including the new .ppsx file. But when I tested it through "Powerpoint Viewer", the animation was screwy (timing and effects were off). My questions are: 1) If it's missing images on other computers, why doesn't it show the missing link or red X on mine? How can I test it on my own computer, to know for sure if the images are embedded and working? 2) Should I be worried that "Powerpoint Viewer" displays my animation wrong? Is that how they will view it at the kiosk, or will it be through standard Powerpoint? I'm very new to this program and want to make sure it displays correctly come time at the tradeshow. Please help. Thanks! |

The 2007 viewer is really just the 2003 viewer in disguise. This means it cannot reproduce many of the new features and is probably why your animations do not work correctly. When you Package to CD the pptx file is downsaved in the old 2003 format.
