Default Text has disappeared!

Hi

I've made 10 different presentations.
I've created each one from the last, and changed a few key features.

There are many slides within each presentation which are simply an image with a title.

Every single image in all of my presentations has lost it's title!

I can still see the title in the slides preview but it's invisible on the slide itself.

the titles all have drop shadows on the and if i turn that off the title re appears, however if I watch the slideshow it's still not there!!

anyone had this problem? it's been fine for weeks, and suddenly all of my projects are affected by this weirdness!

I'm quite new to powerpoint, so any thought of suggestions appreciated.

thanks!

If you set the font to Arial does the text show. A recent update seems to be causing problems with non Microsoft fonts.

Default Same Thing Happened to Our PowerPoint Projects

The same thing is happening to our PowerPoint projects. My students are working on PowerPoint projects. The text animations all worked on Wednesday (12/12/12) and when we went to continue working on Thursday (after a Microsoft update during the night) the text/animations are unable to be seen when in Show view or even on the slides when designing. You can see that there is a text box and the animation settings show up in the Task Pane but no text is seen statically or when animated.

We are on Windows 7 64-bit machines using Office 2010 64-bit.

When I changed to Arial as suggested in the previous reply, we can see our text, but we want to see the fonts that we've already chosen for our projects...................any chance that there will be a fix for this??????????

You need to uninstall the update

Troy shows you how here
http://thepowerpointblog.com/2012/12...fonts-not-seen

Then if you are set to automatic updates change to Download but don't install (or words to that effect)

Next time the update comes don't install but right click and Mark as "Hidden"
