Default Drag and drop macro

Hello. I have no knowledge of macros, but for a project, I need one to enable a sure to drag-and-drop a picture, which, depending on where the user drops the picture, launches an action. The sheet may not be edited (or if it is, it must b restored to its original state after editing, and then launch the action). The only macro I have been able to find is from Hans W. Hofmann, but this is not useful to me. I seem to be unable to edit the source code, this macro actually edits the powerpoint, and it doesn't launch an action depending on location. Can anyone help me?

Programming a drag and drop macro is about as complex as it gets. I doubt anyone would be able to explain here how to do it! This is even more so in 2010 where Hans's method doesn't work (I think) and then even even more so if you have 64 bit Office because you will have to learn to work with 64 bit APIs.

We have a commercial app that will enable drag and drop in 64bit, limited actions on drop and reset the slide back to original locations but it won't do exactly what you need.

You won't be able to edit the code (and I doubt you would understand it)

If it's an important project we would probably be able to make it do what you need but you would need a budget!

I also have 32-bit office 2010 on my Linux distro (through PlayOnLinux), so which bit version shouldn't be much of a problem in itself. I don't have money either and it is a project that will is just for uni. The subject will be finished in a few weeks, and then all the data can be deleted again.
The link you posted looks very interesting, but I don't feel great about spending 30 usd for something I will never use again after a few weeks.
