Printing hi res images from powerpoint to pdf output?
Hi
I'm using Powerpoint 2007 as a DTP tool so that I can assist academics with doing conference posters. I normally create A1 or A2 size posters but now I need to print up to a banner size (a popup banner is a tall poster that is attached to a stand and usually rolls up into a case. See sample here: http://www.reads.ie/display-stands.php) The actual dimensions are too big for Powerpoint (over 7 ft tall) and so I've halved them and intend to have them printed at 200%. But I want to check will the images I use (logos etc) retain their high resolution of 300 dpi? I am using File > Save As > PDF or XML and selecting PDF. Then I will have the PDF printed to twice its size. Any input would be much appreciated. By the way, as a long time quark xpress user for graphics and layout, I was pleasantly surprised to find Powerpoint capable of producing some very decent quality print material. Thanks! Miriam |
