Angry Multiple Sound Clips, One Slide

Good afternoon,

I am hoping someone can assist me in figuring out this problem I am having in PowerPoint. What I am trying to do it have multiple sound clips on one slide, but have them play, and stop, when clicked via a presenter mouse thing that is wireless.

What I need to have happen is no sounds play when slide is first started. Presenter talks and gets to the point where he wants sound one to play so he clicks the presenter mouse and it plays. He lets that sound play out or if he clicks the mouse again it should stop. When he clicks the mouse again it should play sound number two and once again play out or stop when mouse clicked again.

What is happening right now is I get to the slide with the multiple sound clips, I click and the sound plays, I click again and the first sound stops BUT the second sound starts, as for my demo set up I have four sounds and they stop and start right after the third and fourth click which isnt what I want.

I hope someone can help me figure this out before I rip my hair out! Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Zzues

Here is what I would do.

You have everything good up until you need to play the 2nd sound. Could you just duplicate the current slide (in slide show mode you wont even know the slide number advanced if you use no transition animation) then set up your sound just like you did for sound 1 because you know that allready works. If this way will absolutely not work and you have to keep your slideshow to a certain maximum of slides you could put in a autoshape (off of the slide so it cant be seen) and put in a custom animation when clicked have it be something that will only stop when clicked then put your sound after that then you could pull it off.

Let me know if this still dosnt work there may be some more options.
