Default Powerpoint 2010 Crashed on playing music across slides

I have problems when I insert music into my presentation of Powerpoint 2010 I can insert the wav file okay, I can hear the music playing fine if I don't touch anything. I go to the animation panel/Effects Option. Under the "Stop Playing", I put a number in "After ... Slides" and when I try to view the presentation, it crashed if I trigger the music (in case I use a trigger) or it will crash immediately (if I put the music on both "Start with previous" and "Start after previous") I tried putting the music on other pages and it would still crash if I keep the number in "After ... Slides". I tried copying all the slides to another presentation file, same result. I also tried make a presentation of blank pages, I will still get the crash. In Event Viewer, this is the message:

Sidenote: If it plays on 1 slide only, it's fine. If I use PPT extension, it doesn't crash but there are many elements I need to check and only available in PPTX.

I just used my school's computer to test the PPTX file again, and I also checked the sound files in the PPTX file, there, each file's length is only a few seconds, a lot shorter than it should be.
On my school's computer, I can see length is full, I wonder if this is one of the reason that could cause the crash, what could be interfering with it?

Because 2010 uses Windows components to play sound and video it is possible that third party apps can conflict.

I would suspect DVD players / converters or similar especially ones that come pre installed free.

I see, thank you, I'll try to find out which programs that might cause conflict.
Here is the list of Multimedia programs I think that might have something to do with this:
CDex - Open Source Digital Audio CD Extractor
K-Lite Codec Pack Mega
Media Player Classic - Home Cinema
Media Monkey
Quicktime
Sony Vegas Pro
VLC Media Player

I have Cdex and Sony Vegas pro installed and have no problems/

Other people have reported VLC media player as a possible problem.

I have uninstalled VLC Media Player, and I even went on uninstalling OpenOffice on the computer
But it would still crash, this is very intriguing because I don't know what I could've done wrong.

This is the full list of programs on my computer right now.

any update on this? I have the same exact problem.

I know it's a software issue because the ppt works perfectly on other win7 machines and even powerpoint in osx. Here are my list of programs (maybe we have some in common):

So far I've seen we have these in common:
Chrome, Notepad++, Quicktime, Skype and VLC
That's all I can give right now since I have no idea which could be causing problems...
I once tried uninstalling VLC but yield no positive results.
