Default Old Calendar Events Are Gone

Calendar events from just over a year ago are no longer there. I assume they were accidentally archived. (I often was prompted if I wanted to auto-archive, I always say NO but It's possible I may have inadvertantly said YES at some point.) I searched how to restore them and followed instructions to open my archive folder. Even though the folder indicates a size of 5.34 MB, when I open it it is an empty page that has the same header an e-mail file would have ("From" "Subject" "Received" etc... I do not use outlook for e-mail.) I also tried to open the archives via - File / Data File Management / Archives / Open - and was told to contact my system administrator... that's me, it's my home computer. My question is, are my old events retrievable and how do I do it? I am totally confused, and I do rely on looking up info from past events so I need them restored. Please help!

Default Success!!!

Got no replies, and search did not turn up any results, so I crossed my fingers and tried my own solution and it worked. For any who also have this situation, here's what to do... In calendar, click FILE, then IMPORT EXPORT, FOM ANOTHER FILE, PERSONAL FILE (.pst), then select ARCHIVE folder, then CALENDAR. (I had to "browse" for archive folder because the default location did not have it.) I chose to not import duplicates to ensure I only imported what was missing. It Worked!

Apology for a late response.

Another method would have been File > Open outlook Data File..navigate to the location of the >PST. This would have opened the archived file so you can simply clicked and dragged whatever documents you saw fit.
