Strange error mesage
Have had a new computer for a week, Win7/64, Office 2010. When I send a message, Outlook displays "The sent items folder is unavailable" But the message is sent OK and does appear in the sent items folder. Any suggestions on the reason for the apparently incorrect error message and how to get rid of it. Thanks in advance, Andrew.

Do you use an IMAP connection? If so, try the following steps:
1. In Outlook, click on the File menu. 2. Click on Account Settings > Account Settings. 3. Double-click on the IMAP account in the Emails box. 4. Click on More Settings. 5. Click on the Sent Items tab. 6. Select "Save sent items in the following folder on the server:" and select the Sent Items folder (create a folder if one doesn't exist). 7. Click OK. This should take care of the issue. -SW |

Thanks Kaneto for your prompt and specific advice, much appreciated. I do have an IMAP connection. I did as you suggest but in step 6 selected "Save sent items to the Sent Items folder on this computer" And this does appear to have taken care of the issue.
Thanks Andrew |
