[Win7/64] When I try to mail merge in Word 2010 and use Outlook Contacts, Word crashes most of the time. It crashes with letter, emails, labels, envelopes and directory. Here's one of the examples of problem details I get:

Since is crashes in SAFE MODE as well as regular mode, I'm assuming it's not an add-in that causing the problem. I also ran Outlook in safe, tried to mailmerge in Word and word still crashed. I ran both programs in safe mode and Word still crashed repeatedly in mailmerge with the same problem details above.

Anyone help with this problem, please.

If Outlook is open and I try to mail merge in Word using select Outlook contacts, it works. But if Outlook is closed, and Word asks me to choose a profile, soon as I click OK, word crashes. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Disable any virus software including Microsoft and see if word still crashes.

Please not I get different fault module names for Envelopes, labels, directory and letters.

Once I've opened Outlook, Word mail merges fine, most of the time. When Outlook is closed and I try to mailmerge, I get the Choose Profile dialog. I only have one profile and when I click OK, Word MOST OFTEN crashes. Once in a while, after I've opened Outlook, tried Word mail merge, closed Word, then closed Outlook and reopened Word, the mail merge will work. But it's hit and miss. It's almost as if Word, often, can't find the Outlook .pst until Outlook is either open or has been run a few times, as if to point the way. And even then, it does not work a hundred percent of the time. It's very spotty and erratic with Outlook closed -- mostly crashes -- and more consistent, though not one hundred percent, with Outlook open.
