Default Imported message date change to today's date

I just imported my messages from OE6 on a Win2K machine to Outlook 2002 on an XP machine, and noticed a great number of messages, in different folders, had their dates changed to today's date. How can I keep the original dates. It is important for me to keep the original dates.

Any help will be apreciated by this Outlook newbee.

To get best results, you need to export from Outlook Express to Outlook, not import from Outlook Express to Outlook.
