Default No e-mail received when Outlook starts

Hi,
Looking for a resolution to my basic 'Outlook' 2016 problem.
I have Outlook 2016 installed on my home desktop PC (Windows 10). It all works fine apart from one annoying problem, which I will try to explain.

To receive e-mails to my 'Sky/Yahoo' Imap mail account I have to manually hit send/receive, wait the allotted time set for automatic checks or hit F9, it doesn't whatever I try check my 'inbox' when I first start/launch Outlook, which I presume it should normally do. It does check something as when Outlook is started there is the box appears at the bottom saying checking/synchronising etc, however it doesn't check my 'inbox' folder for new email.

As I say when I manually hit F9 etc it checks and downloads my incoming mail.
Any idea why this is happening, it's not a major problem but just annoying me that I can't resolve the issue.
PS - I have double checked my subscribed folders and 'inbox' is definitely subscribed as I first thought that was the problem.
Thanks in advance.
