Default Print error OE6- script line 1344

New to me but sees to be a common error refer 2005-02-21

When I try to print an e-mail in outlook express 6 I get an error message:
Quote:
Internet explorer script error:
Line: 1344
Char: 1
Error: Unspecified error

So far, this is what I've found out about the 1344 error. The fix below has
worked for at least one person:

Subject: Printing From Outlook and Outlook Express - Script Error Line 1344

After going through all the links trying to find out why that Line 1344
Script Error kept me from printing either in Outlook or Outlook Express, I
finally called Microsoft. They scheduled a second level call to me and
after a few things to try, the solution was that a critical registry key was
missing. There is no explanation why it was missing, but I was able to
recover it from another machine and I am back in business. Absolutely
amazing after many months of torture!

Here it is, but I'd find the key from a reliable machine and get a quality
copy of the file to keep from destroying your system... This is from a W2K
Pro OS.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Interface\{000 0000c-000*0-0000-C000-000
0
00000046}]

@="IStream"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Interface\{000 0000c-000*0-0000-C000-000
0
00000046}\NumMethods]

@="14"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Interface\{000 0000c-000*0-0000-C000-000
0
00000046}\ProxyStubClsid32]

@="{00000320-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}"

I have just applied SP2 to XP Home and now get this message. It only occurs
for HTML formatted emails. I don't have any registry entries for the keys
shown but I don't understand the @ entry and hesitate to make any change. Can
anyone be more specific about these entries.

I have a very similar problem in that I cannot print from OE6.

My message says:

Line: 297
Char: 26
Error: Expected ']'
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

Doe anyone know if the "Fix Script Errors" or "shdoclc dll Fix it now
hyperlinks at the end of this thread would be OK and if so which lin
is the one to use.

Ale

What you're looking for is this...

Try this (IE/OE closed).
Start -> Run -> Type "regsvr32 ole32.dll" (without quotes) in the box
-> Ok.
If the problem isn't solved, see here:

Thanks for fix MacEAvelli, it worked a treat. Have been trying for ages to find some help. What caused it in the first place I don't know, but all is well now. Thanks again.
