Outlook reminders for non-existing events

I am getting reminders for a meeting event I have already deleted. Outlook

tells me it cannot dismiss and that I will continue to get reminders.

How do I extricate myself from this dilema?

Outlook 2002 SP3.

Start->Run->outlook.exe /cleanreminders. Note the space before the /.

I am having the problem of reminders poping up for deleted meeting. I have tried opening outlook with "outlook.exe /cleanreminders", but the problem persists.

Any Advise?
