IMAP Outlook 2007; items are not transferred to respective folders
Why are deleted or transferred items (to archive) still in the Inbox (but striked through) and not really transferred to either 'deleted items' or archive ?

Hi,
The reason behind deleted items are not showing in the deleted items folder, are if the emails got deleted permanently. This may happen, if you delete them using ‘Shift+delete’ key. For better solution, you need to always delete them by right clicking the emails and then click ‘delete’ or select the emails that you want to delete and press the ‘delete’ key. In case of archiving old items not going to archive folder may happen if you’ve selected the option ‘Permanently delete old items’. For a better solution you need to provide the location where to save the archived emails, use these steps to save changes: Start Outlook >> click File >> click Options >> click Advanced >> click AutoArchive >> in ‘Move old items to’ option, click Browse to provide the location and click OK. Note- do not select the option: "Permanently delete old items" See the screen shot: Thanks & Regards, Anjlua Last edited by Anjlua; 05-19-2016 at 08:55 PM. |
