Default Account Deletion

I had problems with accessing the Outlook data file, and so added a second email account, which was actually the first account over again, with the same name, followed by (1).

I would now like to delete the original account, and rename the replacement by removing the (1).

However, I can find no way to do either of these things. In another thread, opening, Outlook in Safe Mode was suggested. Does this involve first opening Windows in Safe Mode? I can see no option to open Outlook other then normally, or by running Outlook as an administrator when Windows is running normally. If I run Outlook as an administrator, it appears to be identical in all functionality to how it is normally.

Any ideas, please?
