Default ANSI-ost to unicode-ost

Hello,

I am having difficultly 'fixing' my boss' Outlook 2007.

Here's the main problem:
His offline folder (ost) is too small to keep up with his usage. He needs the calendar items for the last year to remain in the server, but it is too large and it gets auto-archived. Once archived, the calendar can no longer be shared/viewed from other computers.
> Is there a way to share archived calendar items that are in a personal folder?

Also:
I noticed that his ost is ANSI/non-unicode format.
> What are the advantages of unicode ost and how can I make the switch from ANSI to unicode?

There are a few other problems but the ones above need to be fixed urgently. Please help me, thank you.

Jeff W.
