Default O365 outlook folder not visible

I have a manager who has given me owner permissions on his folders and I can see the existing structure. -I have added his email account to mine okay. However when I create a new subfolder in his folder structure he can see it but I can't. Even if he goes into the structure and confirms I am have owner permissions of the new subfolder? Version is Outlook 2013. We have changed my permissions to Editor and other options with now change. We have also confirmed that I am an owner from the inbox down to the relevant subfolder.

What am I missing.
