Account Issue (It's there but not as it's name)
Oh boy I botched it this time! created an account for my ISP's email servers used the correct UN, PW, POP, SMPT, SSL encryption, Ports and authentication protocol; The Account is not in the navigation pain but what is there is an Out Look Data File that contains all the appropriate account folders and it does work. The problem is it's not listed in the Accounts tab nor is the ISP account I created; you can not re name or make changes even if you take ownership of the file or change permissions. Try to delete the file and all of out look wants to uninstall. So 1) what did I do ?:| 2) how do I fix it ?:| Any and all Help & Ideas greatly appreciated.

If you can not start outlook at all at this point, try to run a repair install to repair outlook first
Then try to add a new account from control panel and then try again |

Account Issue (it's there but not as it's name)
Hi Gerry,
No I can run outlook just fine I did the repair installation any way but that didn't fix the accounts problem. The ISP email is still listed in the navigation page as an outlook data file with the previously noted restrictions and constraints. Thank for your input. Phil |
