Default Office 2013

Hi guys,

I have Dell 15r laptop with Win 8.1 using Google Chrome.

I was having issues with Outlook 2013 so decided to try and repair it. Subsequently it appears I reinstalled it.

I bought MS Office 2013 home and small business when purchasing laptop directly from Dell.
As I'm unable to find product key documentation and my email and password aren't working to activate office programs, therefore I'm unable to activate MS Office.

Please can anyone assist?

Thank you

dvtrv

Try contacting DELL to see if they have the product key listed. You will just need to give them the serial number or service tag number of your laptop. Give that a try first.

I've always had DELL machines and usually there is either the media CD for installation (with older purchase) or a piece of paper which has the Office installation product key on it. Are you able to look and find the physical piece of paper that had the product key?

I know there are software programs available to download which will scan your windows registry and identify any product keys so you could try that but not sure if i would find the old product key if you have now reinstalled over the original.

Unfortunately without having the product key you are not going to be able to activate the suite. I am not aware of any way around it other than having to buy the product again.

Don't have and can't find. Thank you anyway for responding 2 weeks after my initial thread.

All suggestions are welcome.

Sorry I couldn't help further. I only joined this site today so I'm a newbie to this forum.

And for this I thank you. My bad for not putting greater detail in to it.
Sucks that I pay for a product, have issues and try to repair as I used to in Outlook 2003 then as managed to loose Numbers I'm to just buy again.
So so do wrong.

If i were you I'd look into some of the programs you can download to retrieve product keys. I've used one of these in the past but cannot remember the name of it. You may get lucky and find they will find the previous product key and you can then use it but I'm just not sure how they go if you've reinstalled over the original installation. Worth a shot though. Good luck.
