Outlook 2010 Losing attachments when forwarding emails.
Hi There,
I've a user who's Outlook 2010 strips attachments if she tries to forward mails with attachments in Outlook 2010. This is kind of a petty grievance because she could just ave and reattach the attachment but that's end users for you. Does anybody know if there's a setting for this in Outlook 2010? Regards and thanks in advance Paddy |

Hi Paddy,
When you use Outlook 2010 for email communication with an attachment file than recipient of the message change file mode sees an attachment that is called Winmail.dat. If you want to fix this problem than you can try modify the registry, but carefully serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Follow these steps carefully http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958012 |

Hi Marhsall,
Thanks for your reply, but this is not the problem we're having. The attachment isn't removed at the user's end, the following is what happens: When the sender receives a mail with an attachment, the attachment is fine. If the sender then clicks the forward button then the attachment is removed from the mail instead of staying on to be forwarded with the mail. |
