Default Location of .pst file

I have a query with finding the location of the .pst file used for microsoft outlook. When I see in File-->Data File Management, it shows the location for the pst like C:\Documents and Settings\elitecore\Local settings\Application Data.... but there is no folder like local setting after
C:\Documents and Settings\elitecore. I do not understand that where is the .pst file stored.

I hope, my question is clear.

Please, help in solving the doubt.

regards

Local Settings is a hidden folder and doesn't show up by default. You can change the fold settings in Windows Explorer, select the menu Tools | Fold Options, go to View tab, then select the option Show hidden files and folders.

hi,

thanks, for your reply. But, when I set the option to show hidden files and folders, then apply & ok, still when I open the Folder Options, it shows Do not show hidden files and folders. I am unable to understand this strange behaviour.

I hope, my question is clear.

Please, help in solving the doubt.

regards

That's weird. You are logged in as Admin, right? Do you have anti-virus software installed?

yes, I guess, there is a virus in my system. Do, you think of any other reason why this could be happening?

No, I would clean up the system first.
