Default Page view does not extend when too many items for one page

When filling in notes from a meeting and the notes get long, the view showing a sheet of paper does not change to another sheet like Word does. The notes just continue into the medium gray area. Once in this area, the curser gets lost and is hard to update the text. Is there a way to make it look like an additional sheet? Can I attach a screen shot to this so you can see it?
