Default OneNote - recover lost data on part of a file

Hi, any experts out there who can help me with this bizarre issue ?

A file being generated in OneNote and stored on OneDrive, suddenly lost most of it's text. Version history not available on my OneDrive - believe me I have asked, so now just left with a fraction of the content - probably less than 10%. No rhyme or reason why or how this happened. Just unbelievable. Clearly the modified file synchronised with OneDrive so that's all that is left. Nothing on the PC itself either, other than the shortened file.

The file, on OneDrive shows as 1.88MB but when it is opened there are just a few lines of text, and half way down a long set of blank pages is a hand drawn sketch, which was part of the document, and still remains there, but nothing else.

My question is, could the previous text still be within this file, somewhere, somehow but needs uncovering ?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks
Martin
