Default Is there a way to remove ALL Tags from a notebook?

I have several notebooks that over the last few years I have added tags to. I have deleted the tags from the drop down but when I open all tags to search they are still there. I need (for my job) to do a complete reset on tags and go back through with a consistent system that my company started using. Do I have to go back to each and every tab and reset them? If so it would be easier to just start just say f-it delete the notebooks because there are waaaaaay too many tags. I have looked at Gem add ons and others and found nothing. I was hoping someone could point me to cache or file i could delete to remove them. (i already deleted the main cache and it didn't work.) Thanks in advance.
