Default how do get the tab where I can insert equations and record audio?

On my onenote for my laptop, I used to have tabs on the top of the screen where I could record audio and insert equations, but now I do not have those tabs at the top anywhere, and I do not know how to get to my equations and record audio.

Your heading states that you are using Office 2010 right? Have you looked at the Insert tab? I have record and equation possibilities on that tab.

have it for windows and the insert tab is gone as long as the entire top toolbar that used to be at the top. I can right click to bring up a few options, but the those options are for print and deleting pages. I do not know where to find any of the tabs that used to be on it.

Have you tried resetting your ribbon? File-Options-Customize Ribbone - bottom right - reset...

It almost looks as if it went to another version of onenote. It doesnt give me a button to click for options. I can right click and on the bottom of the screen something pops up giving me the option to delete, print, give feedback, or look at featured apps for onenote. Below is a screenshot of what my onenote looks like

I think that my one note might have been replaced with the free app in the app store. Is that possible

That just might be the case here. I wonder though it should be possible to run the various versions side by side. Do you see two icons of onenote which you might be able to open?

No. I do the search of onenote and only the one pops up. I had the regular onenote on my laptop then i had to reset my laptop to get rid of a virus a few months ago. after i reset it i had the other version of onenote, the free one from the appstore. I then put my activation code in and got all my microsoft office back like word and excel. However my onenote did not come back, or I cannot find it anyways. I do not know why the paid version of Onenote did not take over the free version when I put office back on my pc. It wont be the end of the world if I cant find it the free version can do most of the stuff the paid version did, as i have found out through tutorials, the paid version is just easier to navigate. Do you have any ideas?
