I cannot send email there, the option to send to is grayed out, how do I get it to recognize windows mail installed not outlook. I need help bad. I could send it as an attachment but I want to send it from the program, thanks for any help. I have windows vista Home premium

As per my knowledge, MS Word is integrated with MS Outlook and not with Windows Mail or Outlook Express. If you wanted to use Send Mail feature in MS Word then you have to use MS Outlook as email client.

Thanks for the respond but it works now, when I click to send the windows email come up to compose and send. I really don't need to use outlook

Right, my Word 2003 will use the default mail client, no matter whatever it is.

I don't quite remember, but I had to add my default email program and now when I click to send, windows mail compose comes up, I have outlook install since its a part of office but it doesn't have any defaults on my pc.
