Default Windows Update confusion

I have a new PC which came with Microsoft Works (Version 9) pre-installed.
I have recently purchased and installed a copy of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 on my PC.
My question is, why is Windows Updates telling me that I have several important updates to download and install all relative to Microsoft Office 2007 when I have never had Office 2007 on this PC and I don't want to be installing a lot of stuff I don't need.

I would appreciate any help re this matter. Should I install these updates or are they not really required.
