Default Adios MICROSOFT...

In 2010, I purchased MICROSOFT OFFICE, (paying £120 GBP), and at that time, I was advised, that it was a 'lifetime' purchase.
NOW, because I have 'downloaded it too many times', I have now been REFUSED a further download!

I am now a pensioner of 69 years, and with my name NOT being Albert Einstein, I am one who does not understand the various 'workings' of this situation.
To me, this is a TOTAL 'rip-off' and I am NOT a happy Chappie at all, having to further purchase 'Office 365' on my meagre pension, I am just unable to afford it! MICROSOFT, thank you All for NOTHING!...Bryan S (Alicante).

Hi and welcome
There is no limit on how many times you can download and/or reinstall Microsoft Office. What there is is a limit on how many PCs you can install it on. That is monitored and, once you exceed a limit, telephone activation may be required. Even that does not fit with your "REFUSED a further download" claim.
Be aware that there are very good replacements for Office, namely LibreOffice, which is totally free and mostly compatible with MSOffice ( except for Outlook and VBA)
