Hi,

I have recently developed a problem with MS Office 2007 Home & Student. I am running it on Windows Vista and it has developed the following problem:
The programmes open slowly. I can enter information onto the page and I can save the document. The propblems occur when I want to use the functions on the menu bar. No matter what I choose a message appears in the menu bar bottom left of dispaly saying "Connecting to printer. Press ESC to cancel" When I ask it to doi anything this appears and the cursor spins atround until I press ESC and then a window appears saying that Word has stopped working and is closing down. At first I thought it was a virus but all my other programmes work fine including outlook and Norton doesn't find anything. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so are there any fixes???

I have been in-touch with Microsoft and one of their tech guys has sorted the problem out for me.

I'm afraid I didn't fix the problem. I contacted Microsoft tech support via their website and after many telephone calls advising me to try various things, none of which worked, I let a Microsoft tech guy have remote access and he did various things and fixed the problem
