Default Windows update give unneeded updates to Office 365

I have been having problems with the following updates failing on several occasions.
I noticed when looking at the updates it mentioned that these were not intended for Office 365

Security Update for Microsoft Outlook 2013 (KB3191938) 32-Bit Edition Failed to install on 19/06/17

Security Update for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB3203386) 32-Bit Edition Failed to install on 19/06/17
Security Update for Microsoft Word 2013 (KB3203393) 32-Bit Edition Failed to install on 19/06/17
Update for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB3172501) 32-Bit Edition Failed to install on 19/06/17
Update for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB3178709) 32-Bit Edition Failed to install on 19/06/17

Searching the internet, I came across this file

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3073930/how-to-temporarily-prevent-a-driver-update-from-reinstalling-in-windows-10
This enabled me to hide these updates so all is now well.
Why should Windows update select these updates when they are not required? Office 365 updates itself.
