Default Office apps on ipad

I was perfectly happy using MS Office 2010 on my iPad. Then I was told to download the new apps instead. Now my notebook does not appear when I open One Note. My One Note notebook does not reside in One Drive but on my computer which was synced to appear on the iPad. When given the option to add a notebook, I entered the name of my original notebook and got the message that it already exists but I can't find it. There is a Personal Website that I do not have permission to edit. The functionality of Excel and Word also leave much to be desired on the iPad. Does anybody have experience making these products work properly and efficiently again. I would appreciate any input. Thank you.

MS Office 2010 is a Windows suite, not an iPad/Mac suite, so I dount you were running that - MS Office 2008 or 2011 perhaps? As for being told to download the new apps instead, I suggest you take the matter up with whoever told you that. To restore your system's functionality, you may need to uninstall the new apps and reinstall whichever Office version you had before.

I am running MS Office Home & Student 2010 and One Note 2013. I had my computer synced to my iPad and could open my Notebook on my iPad. Recently they came out with "apps" for Excel, Word & One Note and when I tried to open One Note I was advised that there was an upgrade. So I upgraded and now my Notebook does not appear. As far as I can see there is no longer any other choice to download on to the iPad.
