Office 2010 version confusion
Hi,
I have Office Pro Plus 2010 SP1 (32-bit) installed on a Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit OS. I'm confused on if I actually have Office 2010 SP2 installed or not. If I go into Programs and Features and look at the Office version, it shows 14.0.6029.1000 (this is SP1). But if I go into Word or Excel and go to Help, the version there shows as 14.0.7106.5003. Why is that? I know I didn't install SP2 unintentionally because it doesn't show as installed in my list of installed Microsoft Updates. Is it possible that I received SP2 related updates without installing SP2? (SP2's version number is supposed to be 14.0.7015.1000 and anything higher means I have SP2 according to Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2687455). Any ideas? |

For cross-posting etiquette, please read: http://www.excelguru.ca/content.php?184 Although I don't know what the answer is, my system is the same as yours. I haven't explicitly installed SP2 yet and it isn't reported as being installed via Windows Update.
