Default Office 2010 - all components fail to open

All of a sudden I cannot Word, Excel, Outlook.
I got error message that there was a Click-to-Run configuration error.

I tried to refresh Click-to-Run through the Control Panel, Programs, but could not. I do not seem to have the option of Refresh or Repair for this program.
I tried to delete, but response was that I could not.
I re-booted. Now I both cannot open any Office 2010 programs, but also no longer get the error message.
Help.
Thanks.
JayS

Hi Jay,

You can repair Office via Programs & Features in the Windows Control Panel.

Thanks for response. Only option I have in Programs and Features for Office is Change or Delete - there is no repair option. When I select change programs says it is working, but nothing happens.

For Click-to-Run, option in Programs and FEatures is either Install or Delete. I selected Delete, it asks for my approval, and then says that it cannot do this, that I need to contact Microsoft Support.

Is there no 'Repair' option under 'Change'?

No. Just Change and Delete.

It appears the problem is caused by a conflict between office and the DLLs installed by some 3rd-party products using Visual Studio. You can download an updated copy of Visual Studio from: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=5582. Once you've installed that, the problems should cease.
