Default Cannot delete line

When I hit the dash or hyphen several times it turns into a full line. That is fine. But, I need to delete that line and cannot. I went into autocorrect and autoformat, but could find nothing. I can a delete new one if I make it, but cannot delete the old one. Any ideas apprecated. Thanks.

Default Stop Word 2007 from Automatically Creating Border Lines

Sometimes it is easier to delete the border lines if you Show all characters (press Ctrl + *). Then you can highlight the paragraph symbol above and below the line then hit delete. That should do away with the annoying line. If that doesn't work, go below the line then backspace.

When you use dashes then hit Enter, the line will appear because of an AutoCorrect setting. When the line is created, see the little icon that shows up that looks like a lightning bolt? Click the little arrow next to the icon. Then in the drop down menu, select "Stop Automatically Creating Border Lines."

You can also choose to Undo a line right after it is created by using the same method.
