Default Help with a formula. I'm not sure its even possible in Word

Hi there

This is my first post here. I uses forums for MS Access and Salesforce a lot but word I use to a certain level but this is far higher than my ability range. I'm not even sure its possible.

I need to create a formula which subtracts one mail-merge tag from another. Please if you know how I could possibly do this I would be most grateful. I use OSX but have access to a PC with Office professional also.

I have attached the word doc with the space where I need the formula to go. The mail-merge tags above this all work great. My data source comes from a system called Conga which is a 3rd party app used in salesforce. Templates for it are made is MS Word. Is it possible to do this formula here?

Any help much appreciated!

You should be able to do that with a simple field formula, encoded as:
{QUOTE {=B2-B4 \# "$,0.00"}}

Note: The field brace pairs (i.e. '{ }') for the above example are all created in the document itself, via Ctrl-F9 (Cmd-F9 on a Mac); you can't simply type them or copy & paste them from this message. Nor is it practical to add them via any of the standard Word dialogues.

That said, when you're using a third-party product, what you can achieve is often limited by that product's capabilities.
