Mail Merges Shifts Labels One Label per Page
Mail merge shifts my labels only one label to the right on each page, instead of 30 labels.
Thus, instead of have 3 pages of labels, I get 89 pages which are mostly duplicates except for one label per page. Using MS Office 2010. What am I doing wrong? |

Hi Reg,
Your description suggests either: • you're only doing Previews, not completing the merge; or • most of the labels are missing the «Nextrecord» fields for most of the labels - there should be one at the start of each label except the first. You may be able to get that by clicking 'update labels' (make sure you don't end up with two «Nextrecord» fields in the label that presently has one). Alternatively, you could copy the one «Nextrecord» field you already have and paste it to the start of each label except the first.

When I "Preview results", there are 89 pages full of my records. Each page has the records shifted by one.
However, when I go ahead and print, I just get 89 records on 3 pages like I would expect. So, in the final analysis, it is working OK, just has a crazy interim step. |
