Using Macros in Microsoft Word 2013
Hi! Is it possible to use a macro to pull information from one part of one Word document to another? I want to be able to pull information from a document (this will be a different document every time) into another document.
There are titles and headings that identify where I want to pull the information from. Each document that I want to pull from will have the same headings and titles but will differ in content and the amount of content (one paragraph vs two, for example). The document also has page breaks for each different heading. Each document that I want to pull information from will have the format and style (same headings and titles for each section). All headings are formatted using "Heading 1" and "Heading 2". We use them to also create the table of contents. The page breaks are manual page breaks. The copied text should go into a specific place in the template. The template also uses Headings (Heading Style 1) and could use page breaks as well if needed. I am not that familiar with programming or coding but would love to be able to figure out a solution to this. I use Word 2013. Any help on how to go about this would be so appreciated! Thank you!! |
