Default How to call current PC date and/or current PC year

Hi,

This looks simple but i can't get it right:
a) How do I automatically call the current PC date, say in cell A5, as in '10/31/2011'?
b) How do I automatically call the current PC year, say in cell A5, as in '2011'?

Thanks in advance.

Kim
