Default Excel 2010 view of cel missing

I just bought Excel 2010 and does not see the view of the cel being worked on.

I noted that the edit function of the cel that is copied from another locatiion.

Is there a toggle or setting to view and edit the cels?

Hello, If I understand you, you can see the cell where are you working in? Do you have some rows or columns hide?

To unhide you can click on the up-left corner of the worksheet. It's a rectangle that selects all the rows and columns of the sheet.

When you are selecting all, right click over a column and click in Unhide
Then right click over a row and click Unhide.

I don't know if that answers your question,

I'm not sure, either, what you're saying, isla, but in case jsuarezg is barking up the wrong tree here's my own theory on what's going on: You're used to seeing a cell's formula being edited up at the top in the formula bar, but now Excel thinks it's supposed to display it in the cell itself. Or vice versa. Either way, you're looking for the editing as it happens, and not seeing it because you're looking in the wrong place.

This is controled in Excel's options: Select File, then Options, then click on Advanced at the left. The first set of options under Advanced is headed "Editing options" in bold; look in that section until you see "Allow editing directly in cells", and check or uncheck that option to suit you.
