Default Time now--fixed?

Office '07

I wish to insert the current time within a cell simply by clicking an icon or formula name. I tried NOW but that value changes as 'now' changes. I want the inserted time to be the time as when inserted and for that time to stay that time as time passes. Is there a feature that will do that?

Mark
