Default Hlookup formula help

Please I need help.I have two sheets, in one I have base with some values,
in another is hlookup function looking in base is cell is blank return
value is blank, and if in cell are value hookup looking for value in sheet
base for return value.I am stuck with this without any idea how to solve this.


Please help

If I understand your question, this might be your solution:
=IF(ISERROR(HLOOKUP(A2,years!A$1:F$5,2,0))=TRUE,"" ,HLOOKUP(A2,years!A$1:F$5,2,0))

Thank you, could tell please one more thing.If in sheet years I have empty cell formula return 0 as value.

As you seem to be using a post 2003 version, a shorter function is available

=IFERROR(HLOOKUP(A2,years!A$1:F$5,2,0),0)
