suppose we have values in A1=2,A2=5,A3=7,A4=6,A5=4 and in B1=f,B2=s,B3=z,B4=s,B5=t.how to get maximum value from column A(which is 7) and how to get value from column B which is in front of maximum value from column A(which is z)

IN C1, try: =MAX(A1:A5)


Then in D1, try: =INDEX(B1:B5,MATCH(C1,A1:A5,0))

Kindly use below formula

=INDEX($A$1:$B$5,MATCH(MAX($A$1:$A$5),$A$1:$A$5,0) ,2)
