I have red box returning the most frequent text of the green box.

I would like the purple box to return the sum of the name in the red box.

example, I want Beasley's (red box) totals in the pink box to return in the purple box. have $1,350 in the purple box

=SUMIFS(P7:P18,P6,Q7:Q18)

worked! thanks! I don't know why I was hung up on SUMPRODUCT!

edit: corrected the formula

SUMIFS is the new version of SUMPRODUCT ( but it is not a flexible)
In this case SUMIF ( without the trailing "s" would have sufficed)
