Default Hiding column does not hide chart series

I have a clustered column chart against a pivot table with few rows and columns.
when I hide the column, the chart still show that series.
see attached picture, where I hide column C, but the chart still show it.

am I missing something?

thanks for help.

I tested again on a normal table (not Pivot table), and it works fine. When I hide the column, the chart will also 'hide' the bar column.

does it mean this feature does not work with pivot table?

Yes, pivot charts don't work quite the same way. If you want to hide it from the chart you have to filter it out of the pivot table.
