Default A number is here but why?

I have a formula in a cell that reads a number in another cell.

example. in j293 there is no number but the formula I am using in k293 is producing a negative number. Here is the function; =((J263-40)*(9.25*1.5))+(40*9.25) it is giving me an answer of -185. WHat gives???Thanks in advance
