Conditional Fomatting Formats Next Cell
Conditional formatting formula: =isblank; applies to: =$Z$3:$Z$37
If any cell in the range is cleared (using delete key), the next cell in the range is formatted, not the original cell. For example, cell Z10 is cleared, cell Z11 is formatted. Why? |

Are you sure the formatting formula is =isblank ? Is there no reference to a range within the formula (e.g. =ISBLANK(Z3) )

Thanks NBVC, that fixed part of the problem: the cell being cleared formatted correctly, however the next cell is formatted too.

Thanks to NBVC for the clue: the formula must refer (correctly) to the range. In this case there were two formulas for the range, one referred to Z2, the other to Z3. When the Z2 formula was changed to a Z3 reference, the problem was corrected.
