RESOLVED: Excel 2003 formatting issue when moving to new WB
Hello,
I have an issue with Excel 2003. I copy a sheet to a new workbook and all the formatting transfers, but the colors change in the process. I would prefer to not attach the file, but if it is needed I will try to a make a file to replicate the issue. The screen shot is from Excel 2007, but the same issue occurs with 2003. Thanks, Arthur Last edited by aramsey; 04-22-2010 at 02:35 PM. Reason: FIXED |

Excel uses a standard palette of colours, but it can be modified. These modifications stay within the workbook where they are changed.
You can reset the colours back to the standard palette in the "Tools > Options" - Color tab. You can also adopt a custom palette from another workbook. If you copy a worksheet from a workbook where there is a custom palette, the worksheet will comply with the palette of the workbook where the worksheet is pasted. Cheers, |

You are correct thanks for the tip. I was looking in the wrong place for the custom palette. Issue is resolved the thread may be closed/locked.
Thanks, Arthur |
